Mayhem

Mayhem,
Of a flickering candle
unsure whether to wax or wane
no moment of peace, no rest
just an endless cacophony of hesitance.
I will you into dissonance.

Of a fly trapped,
Mayhem,
in a box without skies
of a fly, still flying
As if to will the sky into existence.
I will you into dissonance.

I flicker along into the light, then into darkness
in the bluest of skies, then in the blackness
You held me in your arms,
Mayhem,
you touched me with your lust
under the veil of kindness.
I will you into dissonance.

Curled up into a ball in the corner
I smother myself
inch by inch in loneliness,
Mayhem,
look me in the eye and hear my pain.
I will you into dissonance.
